The IBISWorld database provides industry data and analysis on niche and emerging industries. Using primarily NAICS (North American Industrial Classification System) as a basis for identifying industry sectors, IBISWorld offers a collection of industry reports in the areas of agriculture, mining, utilities, construction, manufacturing, wholesale and retail trades, transportation, information, finance and insurance, real estate, business support services, education, health, accommodations and food. Each report includes a definition and discussion of the industry, its performance and outlook, products and competitive landscape. Since 1971 IBISWorld has provided thoroughly researched, accurate and current business information. Today, IBISWorld employs a team of dedicated expert analysts who research economic, demographic and government data. IBIS World Reports provide insight into America’s 700+ industries plus a number of reports on global industries.
In addition to the industry reports, the database includes a series of business environment reports covering topics such as consumer behavior, demographics, domestic commodity prices, and a variety of indicators covering the domestic and international economy and the financial markets. Another report area focuses on global industries with an analysis of selected industries such as global mining, global manufacturing among others. The global reports section also includes detailed reports on industries in the US, China, Australia and the UK.
